CPR Tools of Fort Myers wins Business Ethics Award

The Uncommon Friends Foundation awarded 18 scholarships to area students Thursday during its annual gala at the Burroughs Home and Gardens in Fort Myers. The foundation also awarded the Business Ethics Award to CPR Tools Inc., and the Champion Teacher Award to Jesse Bryson. Uncommon Friends Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to lifelong character building among todayÕs youth and business leaders. Its mission is to promote character education in schools, business ethics in the workplace and historic preservation of the Burroughs Home and James Newton Archives.

CPR Tools has won the 2016 Business Ethics Award, presented by the Uncommon Friends Foundation.

The business received the honor Thursday night at the annual Uncommon Evening event at the Burroughs Home & Gardens in downtown Fort Myers.

CPR Tools Inc. has 25 years of experience in providing data security and recovery products and services to businesses and individuals. It is at 2022 Hendry Street, Suite 100, in downtown Fort Myers.

More than 250 business, education, and community leaders looked on as CEO John Benkert accepted the award.

The other finalists: Gecko Hospitality and Lee County Electrical Cooperative.

The business ethics award goes to an outstanding business that exhibits a commitment to business ethics at all levels of the organization, among its industry peers, and within its community. The award is presented in conjunction with FGCU's chair of business ethics to a Southwest Florida business that exemplifies the highest standards of ethical behavior throughout the organization and in its dealings with the public.
