A Naples man was indicted for two bank robberies that occurred in Southwest Florida in July.

John Robert Haldemann, 30, was charged with two counts of armed bank robbery for a July 12 robbery at a Wells Fargo in Naples and a July 25 robbery at a Punta Gorda Bank of America.

The United States Attorney's Office is seeking a money judgment in the amount of $12,308, the proceeds from the robberies.

Each count carries a maximum penalty of 25years in federal prison, according to a press release from the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigations Violent Crimes Task Force, the Punta Gorda Police Department, the Naples Police Department and the Collier County's Sheriff's Office.

Haldemann is being held at the Collier County Jail.
