Christmas trees were donated to the U.S. Coast Guard station in Fort Myers Beach.

More than 20 Christmas trees were donated to members of the Coast Guard station in Fort Myers Beach.

The trees were a donation from Trees for Troops, an organization that donates trees to active-duty military members in the U.S. and overseas. This year, 17,000 trees have been delivered. The Christmas SPIRIT Foundation, FedEx and the public's donations make the Trees for Troops program possible.

"We really appreciate what Trees for Troops does for our Coast Guardsmen," Chief Petty Officer Randall F. Keller, executive petty officer at the station, said in a news release. "These trees help generate the holiday spirit, which can be tough for our members who are often far away from their families this time of year."
